I think you will find this information useful and interesting. I have been researching natural dentistry for the last couple of months. (I got torqued off because I had a cavity at my last dental checkup.) I reasoned that there is no reason why God would create a part of our body that is unable to heal itself. If all of the other parts of our body can heal, your teeth should be able to too.
I have found tons of useful information, and firmly believe that if you properly maintain your dental health, you needn't ever have a cavity again. And if you have a cavity, they can be healed. From what I have read, the following factors appear to be important to dental health: - Eliminate Harmful Bacteria from your mouth.
- Create an Alkaline pH in your mouth to prevent future growth of harmful bacteria (Plaque)
- Make sure that you have a diet that contains the necessary calcium so that your saliva is rich in calcium
Disclaimer: I am not a dentist. I don't even play one on TV. I am a musician and computer geek who now chews Xylitol Chewing Gum, and Brushes my teeth with Baking Soda. I have come across the following resources that I think would be useful to you: Dr. Robert Nara - Freedom From Dental Disease Ellie Phillips, DDS - Preventative Dentist and Home of Zellies Xylitol Chewing Gum and Mints Xylitol Research for Dental Health Ray Behm, DDS - Natural Dentistry System |
